I ran across this blog, Snap Shots Around the World which is contributed to by three women who live in different parts of the world. Intriguing, yes? They post a photo challenge a few times a month with a different theme. Not only do you get to enjoy the photos that each of them post, you can participate yourself. You’re meant to share a photo (or two or three) on your blog or flickr account with your interpretation of the theme, then post your link in the comments on their blog. An excellent idea and kudos go out to them!
I’m participating in the theme “Orange“…the idea just intrigued me. I recalled some photos I had taken at the Chalice Well & Garden in Glastonbury.

- Although it is clearly stone, I was fascinated by the terra cotta color of the fountain. Apparently, the coloring of the stone is due to the minerals that are in the waters, which are meant to be healing.
I’d love to see your interpretation of “Orange,” as well, let me know if you participate.

I want to be in that water right now!
Me too! It was such a peaceful place. I could sit there for days! x
Stunning photos IK, and what a brilliant idea. I hope that Snapshots around the world loved them too.
It doesn’t look like Snapshots checks into their blog very often. Regardless, it was fun sorting through photos. Glad you liked them, Lottie! x
I love it, and I really love the new look of your blog!
Thanks, Amberr!
Stunning photos and a stunning blog thanks for sharing those wonderful and ethereal pictures.
Thanks, Far Side! I just checked out your blog and I love it. Love the intent and content. Excellent job!
Wow, that’s just fantastic, I’ll relay this to AA who is the brains behind this, I’m just her humble contributor ITB. Really appreciate your feedback, and glad someone likes the photos, I try and take different ones, that don’t usually conform to “pretty” guidelines ! We like your blog too, and linked you, thank you kindly for taking the time to check us out!
